Q: Summer is winding down. What’s your favorite summer activity? Can you do it at home or does it require travel? Did you get to do it this year? Does the activity ever make it into one of your books?
A: One of my favorite summer activities is riding my bike. This summer hubby and I actually visited Winter Park, Colorado and had our first downhill mountain biking experience. Usually we get on our bikes and cruise around the neighborhood or go camping and ride the trails of Texas, but this year we took it to a different level. I was a little scared at first because we don’t have “mountains” like that in Texas and I usually walk down all the big down hills because I’m scared. But we took a class and had an amazing teacher (Thanks, Jill) which helped my confidence level. I’m happy to say I didn’t fall off once and the view was absolutely beautiful. The only thing that scared the crap out of me was riding the lift without the bar down. To my defense, I didn’t know there was a bar until afterward. 🙂
Biking hasn’t come up in any of my books yet but I might have to change that considering I do it so much! 🙂
